Sustainability is by far one of our most important core values, a testament to this is our use of water-based paints and coatings. These types of paints and coverings have become increasingly popular within the decorating and joinery industry, thanks to their lower harmful emission levels and lessening environmental impact.
Our finishing paints have also been chosen for their qualities of being hard-wearing, long-lasting, and all being ideal for high traffic areas that require a durable, chemical resistant coating.

Why Water-based Coatings?
Many traditional oil-based paints contain VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) which are harmful and polluting compounds that evaporate whilst drying, producing the all too familiar chemical smell. Over the years more and more restrictions have been applied to the level of VOCs in oil-based paint. This has given it reduced colour retention. Meaning, whites will yellow over time and colours will fade at an increased rate. Making our water-based coatings the best choice.
Quick Drying – Reduced amount of surface contaminants that can impair the finish
Low Odour Level – Reduction in undesirable smells whilst drying / curing
Improved Durability – Its more even application allows a thicker application and finish

The painting and decorating industry have contributed hugely towards the effects of environmental pollution, with that in mind one of our core missions is to minimise our footprint, at the same time provide an outstanding service to our clients. With that in mind, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact as much as possible, through the implementation of sustainable practices, which are constantly evolving and reviewed.
The above is reflected in everything from our paint choice through to our masking products and spray products. We use highly efficient air-assisted airless spray systems for the highest level of paint transfer efficiency the percentage of paint that gets applied to the surface and is not lost to surface bounce or overspray.
